We had the elders and sisters serving in our ward over to our apartment for dinner this week. (We needed to purchase an additional table, a couple more stools, more plates and forks to accommodate their visit). It was a fun evening and we got some good tips about how they are contacting people and engaging them in gospel conversations. Upper left are Elders Jackson, Bodily, Neibaur, and Harper. Upper right are Sisters Hawkes and Wong.
We had an interesting visit from Lowell's very good friend, Craig Norman (whom he taught Cantonese to in the Hawaii LTM nearly 35 years ago) and his wife Theresa. They are here for a missionary reunion this week with Craig's mission president, Jerry Wheat and his wife Donnetta . They visited us on Sunday after our block of meetings and then we spent the day Monday with them and happened to find his mission president and wife at their hotel and had an wonderful visit with them also.
We also had the privilege of acting as proxies for Craig's parents as he was sealed to them in the Hong Kong Temple. At the same time we acted as proxies for a distant relative of Lowell's while Craig Norman was proxy for the son to be sealed to them. This is what it is all about and was a very rewarding experience for all involved.
